I liked how no one got serious injures and I didn't like it when Ratty got shot in the head and I do agree with the author.Mabey Russ or Cristgo could have been shot instead of Ratty..Mabey were they went in the story could have been changed.The story would probabley appel to 10-14 year olds. I would not recomend this book becuase I am not into those sourts of books.I am into advencher and horro books.

At the end Ratty barked at Rimu so Rimu smiled and gave Rimu some dog biscuits and Rimu never complained again about having Ratty as a pet dog again because he now knows how much he 0 loves Ratty because of what he went through.Now he will always look out,love,and care for Ratty

NZ Herald http://www.nzherald.co.nz/ has been on a fishing trip to bay-break in Napier.He said " trips to napier usually mean a chance to restock the wine racks and catch the point head south back towards the harbor where the row and fishing character" this relates to my story black gold becuase Rimu and Ollie go on a fishing trip.

I think the Author wrote this story becuase she might of gone on camp for a week and gone fishing. The morel is to give out a mission or a lesson witch that lesson is that you shoulden't go out alone. At the start Rimu felt tired and at the end he felt sad. But Ollie felt exsited at the start and sad at the end.
